An Evening In…
A recurring series of destination nights at Battery Park Book Exchange. Each one takes a single city and builds an evening around it — the music that city made its own, the wine it drinks, and the story behind both. Lisbon was longing. Buenos Aires was heat. Paris is the one the whole series was walking toward, because gypsy jazz was born there.
You don't need to know a thing about fado, or tango, or Django Reinhardt. You need a glass in your hand and a seat in the room, and there are never more than seventy-five of those.
Guests collect a stamp at every city. Lisbon sold out twice.
